Sustainable Technologies

As the national voice for the plumbing and hydronics (modern hot water heating) industries in Canada, CIPH is fully engaged in actions designed to support governments, allied organizations and the public, as we meet challenges related to climate change and shrinking reserves of fresh water and fossil fuels.

Through the Canadian Advisory Council on Plumbing (CACP), Plumbing Industry Advisory Council (PIAC) and Standing Committee on Building and Plumbing Services (SCBPS) we provide governments with expertise, working frameworks and support in the prudent development of codes, standards and public policy on new and emerging plumbing, heating and hydronics technologies. Our regional structure permits a reliable national voice.

A quick review of this site reveals that we are involved with high efficiency plumbing, hydronics, grey water reuse, rainwater and building energy recapture, and heat pump technology. CIPH is the industry authority on new technology standards, codes, research, business trends and new practices for the efficient use of water and ernergy.
