Affiliated Organizations

CIPH Staff has regular contact with the following:

1. AEA (Association Education Alliance). CIPH is a voting member in this association of wholesaler associations. Goal: to create meaningful joint training programs for member companies.
    
2. AEC (Association Executive Council). R. Suppa is a member. This is a North America council of CEO’s of distribution associations. Provides training networking and other opportunities.
    
3. ASA (American Supply Association). CIPH is a non-voting associate member. Also a partner in ISH North America.
    
4. CACP (Canadian Advisory Council Plumbing). CIPH is a founding member and a supporting member. CACP is the advisory council of Canadian plumbing inspectors.
    
5. CAEM (Canadian Association of Exposition Managers). N. Schulz, CIPH Trade Show Manager is a member. Provides networking and training in the exposition management profession.
    
6. CSA (Canadian Standards association). CSA holds membership in CIPH. CIPH holds membership CSA. Close ties through PIAC and CACP.
    
7. CAPM (Canadian Association of Pump Manufacturers). CIPH staff provides management services. CAPM interfaces with other USA based pump associations. Nancy Barden is Manager.
    
8. CCBDA (Canadian Copper & Brass Development Association). Close ties through PIAC and the Canadian Safe Drinking Water Systems Coalition.
    
9. Canadian Chamber of Commerce. CIPH is a member and supports Chamber initiatives.
    
10. CMMTQ (Corporation of Master Pipe-Mechanics of Québec). Joint venture in the biennial MÉCANEX/CLIMATEX Montreal Show since 1995.
     
11. COHA (Canadian Oil Heat Association). Communication with CHC.
     
12. CSAE (Canadian Society of Association Managers). R. Suppa is a member and Past President of the Trillium Chapter. Provides networking and training in the Association profession.
     
13. CWQA (Canadian Water Quality Association). CIPH staff provides management services. Kevin Wong is Manager. WQA interfaces with WQA (Water Quality Association) in the U.S.A.
     
14. CWWA (Canadian Waste Water Association) are honorary members of CIPH and vice versa.
     
15. EDICA (Electronic Data Interchange Coalition of Associations). An Association of wholesaler associations whose purpose is to support common electronic commerce protocols.
     
16. Electro-Federation Canada Inc. A sister association in the electrical industry... we share training programs and other possibilities. Our partner is PIDE (Partners in Distribution Excellence).
     
17. HRAI (Heating Refrigeration Air Conditioning Institute). Our partner in PIDE (Partners in Distribution Excellence).
     
18. IBCA (Integrated Business Communications Alliance). An association of wholesaler associations promoting bar coding and electronic commerce.
     
19. MCAC (Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada). Co-sponsor of MÉCANEX/CLIMATEX and NEX’ 98. CIPH also works closely with MCA BC, MCA Alberta, MCA Ontario and MCA Manitoba.
     
20. PHCC (Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors). Partners in the ISH North America trade show.
     
21. PMI (Plumbing Manufacturers Institute). CIPH works with PMI on a North America basis regarding harmonization of plumbing codes and standards and trade show consolidation.
     
22. NAW (National Association of Wholesalers). CIPH is an associate member and promotes NAW publications and seminars.
     
23. RPA (Radiant Panel Conference). Co-sponsor of ISH North America and honorary member of CIPH (and vice versa).
     
24. WPC (World Plumbing Conference). An association of contractor/wholesaler/manufacturer associations in 30+ countries of the world dedicated to quality plumbing installations. 2008 Conference to be held in Calgary during CIPHEX West.
     
25. Through the MEET Moncton show CIPH Atlantic Region maintains close communications with IES (Illuminating Engineers Society) and ASHRAE (American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers).
