ACI Central Inc. is a nonprofit organization, incorporated under the laws of Prince Edward Island in May 1993. It's voluntary membership is limited to the Chief Inspectors of Canada's Provinces and Territories. Following incorporation the First Ministers (Premiers) of Atlantic Canada adopted the ACIC structure through voluntary membership of their respective representatives. ACIC is founded on the principals of uniformity through the promotion of standardization procedures for design registration and the issuing of Canadian Registration Numbers.
