2011/2012 BIOGRAPHIES: REGION PRESIDENTSAndrew Dyck Andrew was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He started his plumbing and HVAC career in 1987 with Honeywell Ltd. on the inside sales desk. In 2001, Andrew joined ECR International Ltd. as Territory Manager for BC and then, in 2005, Andrew joined Barclay Sales Ltd. Andrew graduated from Windermere Secondary School in Vancouver and then went on to complete a Marketing/Management Certificate from BCIT. In 1985, Andrew married Ilene. Together they have two daughters, Marissa and Kelsey, and the family resides in Langley, BC. Andrew has been very active with the CIPH B.C. Region, since 1989, and is now starting his second term as President (1st term was 1997-99). Outside of work and volunteering, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and hoping that the Canucks will finally win the Stanley Cup.
Mike Stringer Mike was born and raised in Calgary. He has been around the plumbing industry his whole life; as a youngster he remembers helping his father on the occasional weekend shift at Westburne. Mike graduated from Lord Beaverbrook High School in 2000 completing one of the country’s only high school three-year plumbing and heating programs. Following high school, Mike briefly worked with Trotter & Morton helping construct the Sears store in South Center Mall in Calgary. Mike decided to take some time away from the industry becoming a professionally certified bartender and completing an Emergency Medical Responder course at SAIT, but in 2004 he decided to get back into the industry with Canadian Aqualine Sales. He started in the warehouse and Inside Sales and then with his background in hydronics he moved into technical support and an outside sales position. In 2008 Mike joined his father’s agency Stringer Sales Inc. as General Manager/Sales. In his free time he likes to get outdoors, camp and play hockey. Mike joined the CIPH Calgary Board in 2009 and was appointed Calgary Region President in June of 2010. Robert Sanson Dave Boutet Dave Boutet was born in 1955 in a small southern Manitoba town near the U.S. border about one hour south on Winnipeg. He married his wife Sandra of 31 years and they have one child, a daughter Kayla. Dave started his career with B.A. Robinson in 1977, and except for a 2-1/2 year stay with Western Supplies, has spent entire time working for this company. He now manages the Branch in Winnipeg. He is member of CIPH and an associate member of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Manitoba. His interests outside of work include golf, pitching fastball and curling; two years ago he was a part a team that won the provincial playdowns and went on to represent Manitoba at the Canadian Senior curling playdowns in Ottawa. Dan Milroy Dan joined the industry in 1996 with Emco as Customer Development Manager, later moving on to National Marketing Manager and Special Project Manager. His final position with Emco was as General Manager of the Guelph Ontario Distribution Centre. He then joined Canvil/Anvil International Canada in 2003 where he worked as Ontario Sales Manager and National Accounts Marketing Manger until August 2009 when he joined Bradford White Canada as Regional Manager. Dan has served for the last six years on the CIPH Ontario Region Board, and he lives in Brantford with his wife Kathy and two dogs, Curly the boxer and Mick the Shitzu. They have two grown boys Greg 31 and Mike 27. Dan enjoys golf, poker and puttering around the house. Raymond Beauchemin Raymond grew up in Drummondville, Quebec. His involvement in the industry started in 1971. He founded the Drummond Distributing Associates in 1979 which, after the acquisition of a heating company (Marcel Hubert Dufresne), became the Groupe Maburco. He sold Groupe Maburco to Robert Charest in 1998 but continues to be involved with the company as CEO. He was appointed President of the ICPC Quebec Region in May 2010. Raymond and his partner Colette Adam together have 8 children and 9 grandchildren. Kevin Ryter Kevin Ryter was born and raised in Halifax Nova Scotia, graduating from Dartmouth High School in 1983 and from Halifax Regional Vocational School (Carpentry) in 1985. He started in the industry in 1993 with Maax as Sales Rep for Atlantic Canada. In 1998 he was promoted to Sales Manager with Maax based in Calgary- covering territory in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Kevin returned to Halifax in June of 2000 to begin his career with Royal Pipe Systems as Sales Rep for Atlantic Canada He has been involved with CIPH Atlantic Region since 2000, and is a Member of the MEET Show Committee (2004- Present) Kevin has one son, Aidan, and in his spare time enjoys Hockey, Golf, Football and most all sports. Carl Burt Carl was born and raised in St. John’s, NL. He started his agency in 1984, as a partner agent and then purchasing his own agency in 1992. Carl completed 5 of 8 terms in Mechanical Engineering Degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland before, to at the time his parents regret, leaving to start his agency. In 1987, Carl married Donna. Together they children attending university including two daughters, Nicole (Kinesiology -Memorial) and Megan (Architecture –Concordia), as well as a son Christopher (Law –UNB). Carl has been very active as a board member with the CIPH NL Region since its inception, and is now starting his second term as President (1st term was 1999 - 2001). Carl has also supported and been a director on Habitat for Humanity build committees in the 1997 and 2010 Cabot Habitat builds, as well as committee member for 2007 CIPH Roadshow and 2010 CIPH ABC planning committee. Outside of work and volunteering, Carl enjoys spending time with his family at his cottage, salmon fishing, traveling with the national water polo team as an International Official, as well as volunteering his services for his children by serving as a member of the local Regatta Committee and sponsor of the national champion ROCK rugby team. |
