Purpose: To establish an Education Trust Fund for the purpose of creating proprietary new education and training projects and initiatives.
Rationale: To support CIPH members in their pursuit of professional development; to enhance the professionalism, productivity and prosperity of members in the industry; to improve the quality of CIPH membership services and benefits for the majority of members.
Vision: The vision for the CIPH
Education Endowment Trust Fund is: to provide a fund that will make available “seed money” for new CIPH education/training projects and initiatives that will provide meaningful, cost effective and accessible training to members of CIPH.
The Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating has responded to the plumbing and heating industry’s training needs by sourcing, creating and delivering education that meets the needs of its members including front line managers/supervisors, outside sales employees, inside sales employees and senior management.
The fund will be “funded” annually by investment income from CIPH’s reserve funds and potential other sources. Held in trust, these funds will provide the necessary capital to launch new education and training initiatives. These could include (but are not limited to):
· Online Inside Sales Correspondence Course
· Online Radiant Heating
· Online Basic Residential Hydronics
· Online Product Knowledge
· And others…
Capital from the Education Trust Fund would be earmarked to finance training initiatives specific to CIPH members and their professional development needs.
Conclusion:
By establishing an Education TrustFund, CIPH is gaining complete control over its educational products.
Training programs that are created through the training trust fund will become CIPH-owned education products that will in turn generate additional revenue, an enhanced industry image and improved membership services.
In conclusion, the Education Trust Fund is an investment in the future of the industry.
