The City of Edmonton along with private developers and public organizations are investing $5 billion in the Downtown and the Quarters.

From new drainage pipes to condo towers to urban parks and a world-class arena, the scale of change underway today is unprecedented. Speaker Bio(s):

Tom Beck works on implementation of the Capital City Downtown Plan and Community Revitalization Levy, including Catalyst Projects such as Alex Decoteau Park and Green and Walkable Downtown. The Urban Renewal department at the City of Edmonton is also responsible for The Quarters Downtown, Capital City Downtown, Belvedere Community Revitalization Levies (CRLs), as well as Responsible Hospitality Edmonton. The Urban Renewal program supports Council's vision for revitalization of the downtown core and Fort Road and promotes safe, thriving late-night environment in the hospitality zones throughout the City.
