Canadian Anti-Counterfeiting Network Event Highlights [Toronto]
The Canadian Anti-Counterfeiting Network (CACN) held its Reality Tour session in Toronto Tuesday January 12th. This event marks the second segment of the Tour; the first had been held in Vancouver in November -- and upcoming events will be held in Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax and Ottawa in the coming months. Close to 60 representatives from law enforcement and industry -- including CSA Group, Siemens and Eaton -- came together to learn about a number of timely topics related to anti-counterfeiting initiatives.
The following day, CACN hosted a training session for Canada Border Service agents at the Toronto Pearson Airport. The purpose of this session was to educate customs on how to identify a variety of counterfeit products, including electrical equipment. A special thanks to Terry Hunter from CSA Group and Vladimir Gagachev from Eaton for presenting at the training events.
