On Tuesday, March 15th CIPH hosted our biennial Gala in Support of Habitat for Humanity. We were delighted that 300 industry guests could join us for even evening of fantastic food and friendship in support of a great cause.
The evening was highlighted by a hilarious performance from Colin Mochrie and Deb McGrath as well as a personal story from one of the families that will move into the CIPH sponsored build in Burlington later this year.
The evening celebrated the success of our 2014/15 fundraising campaign which netted more than $2.2 million in contributions. Additionally, the silent auction and special brick fundraising initiative raised an additional $25,000+ that evening.
Even though the event is over you can still support the Brick for Brick Campaign fundraising campaign. It is simple and every $25 donation helps build more homes for families in need from coast to coast. There was a special incentive for those attending the event to give and there is an incentive for all of you too. If you make a donation you will be entered into a draw to win a coffee basket courtesy of JavaWorks (estimated value $100)
The evening was a great success and a wonderful demonstration of the caring nature of our industry. Nothing says you care quite like rolling your sleeves and pitching in. For those members in the GTA I want you know there are still opportunities to volunteer in Burlington. For those beyond we will happily connect you with an opportunity in your community just contact the office.
