CIPHEX West trade show posts record contractor attendance
CIPHEX West 2014
Connecting Western Canada’s Heating and Plumbing Industry
Western Canada’s largest event for plumbing, HVACR and water treatment,
CIPHEX West took place in Calgary earlier this month. The two day trade show attracted more than 3,100* visitors including contractors, wholesalers, engineers, designers, builders, developers, government and municipal representatives and more.
Thanks to special new promotions, including wholesaler competitions, and a new fully functional mobile app, overall attendance increased modestly and contractor attendance increased just over 20%. The show was co-located with the Buildex Calgary trade show, resulting in a large number of additional engineers, builders and designers checking out CIPHEX West exhibitors and their products.
· More than 350 visitors attended workshops in the new CIPHEX West Hydronics Conference, with sessions led by Robert Bean, Dan Holohan and John Siegenthaler;
· 7 free seminars were presented on the show floor, covering a variety of technical and business topics – several were “standing room only”;
· Over 60 products were featured in the New Product Gallery, with seven of them being named “most innovative” in their category by a panel of industry experts; and
· 200 industry members attended the CIPH Calgary Region Industry Dinner prior to CIPHEX West, featuring NHL great Dennis Hull.
CIPHEX West featured displays from more than 200 manufacturers of plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, geothermal heating, solar/hydronic combi-systems, fire protection, industrial pipe, valve and fittings, luxury bath and kitchen as well as water treatment products from Canada, the United States and overseas.
