CIPH Hosts Successful "Today's Vision: Tomorrow's Reality" Annual Business Conference
A successful “Today’s Vision: Tomorrow’s Reality” conference was held June 26-28, 2016 in beautiful Banff, Alberta with more than 260 Delegates and Companions from across North America in attendance.
The event gave senior executives of manufacturers and wholesaler distributors of plumbing and heating products a unique opportunity to engage with a powerful roster of speakers on a variety of informative topics. The valuable concepts and new approaches behind these topics were instrumental in helping to illuminate this conference theme.
The conference was kicked off by Banff Springs Hotel’s resident storyteller Tony Harvey who delivered an entertaining presentation “The History of Banff and the Banff Springs Hotel”. Tony was followed by John Rossman, a preeminent authority on Amazon and its impact on the industry. John delivered “Today’s Vision – Tomorrow’s Reality: The Amazon Way – Leadership Principles”. The 2nd day of speakers featured health and productivity expert Michelle Cederberg with an informative session on life-work balance entitled “Today’s Vision – Tomorrow’s Reality: Energized for Excellence”.Click here to see her presentation. The keynote speaker was futurist Jim Carroll who gave a revealing address on the pace of change in the industry though “Today’s Vision - Tomorrow’s Reality: Leadership in a Time of Challenge and Opportunity”. The Conference also featured Stephanie Martin, Building Field Inspector with Alberta Municipal Affairs who gave an update on Codes and Standards at the annual Hydronics Luncheon: “Today’s Vision – Tomorrow’s Reality: State of Inspections Alberta and Canada”. In addition, several of the Institutes’ key North American Allies offered greeting on behalf of their associations including Stewart Chaffee, Chairman of the Association of Independent Manufacturers’ Representatives, Peter Steffes, Chairman of the Heating Refrigeration Air Conditioning Institute of Canada, Gaetan Beaulieu, Past Chairman of the Mechanical Contractors’ Association Canada, and Paul Patton, Chairman of Plumbing Manufacturers International.
