The customized Schulich Executive Education Centre/CIPH Leadership Edge Program has been designed to develop the leaders in the Plumbing and Heating Industry. This exciting new program has been created based on feedback from members through various training needs surveys.

 

Curriculum will help participants develop competency in the areas of Communication, Marketing, Emotional Intelligence and Managerial Finance in the plumbing and heating industry during a time of increased competition and transformational change. 


The Leadership Edge Training Program will provide managers at all levels with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed based on industry specific case studies. Participants will learn new skills and techniques needed to create value for your customers and bring out the best in the people who work with and for you

 

 

Who should attend Leadership Edge? Senior Executives and Senior Managers, Regional Managers, Marketing Managers, Team Leaders, Supervisors, Business Development Executives and Future Industry Leaders. This senior leadership certificate program boasts an interactive learning format that includes current case examples and peer-to-peer expertise exchange.

 

Registration (Limited to 25 people): Early bird pricing: $4,999+ tax per person before July 1, 2018 ($5,299 after). Registration fee includes all course materials and breakfast, lunch, breaks, and breakout rooms. (Overnight accommodation for attendees is not included - contact us for information about onsite accommodations available at SEEC’s Executive Education Centre Hotel.)

 

Anyone who attended the 1st four modules in February/April 2018 are eligible for a 10% discount.

 

Members are not required to have completed the first two modules to register for the fall sessions.

Module 1 - Wed. Oct 10, 2018
Effective Communication Strategies

Master the keys to excellent communication: observe, listen, analyze, plan, communicate.  Customize your message to ensure you get what you need from the communication.  Assert yourself by effectively communicating Up, Down and Across your Organization &with all your Clients

FACILITATOR - GAIL LEVITT Ph.D. 
Dr. Gail Levitt teaches both open enrollment and custom programs at the Schulich Executive Education Centre. She teaches topics such as stakeholder management, negotiation strategies, effective communication skills, leadership, coaching and succession planning. Gail is President of Levitt Communications, which is celebrating 22 years of success working with leaders to be more agile communicators and strategists when influencing and negotiating to achieve successful results. Her clients include SNC-Lavalin, Province of Ontario, TD Bank, Toronto Hydro, Cap-Gemini, PMI, Transport Canada, and Bell Canada.

 


 

Module 2 - Thurs. Oct 11, 2018
Marketing

This session looks at how to position your products and services to boost sales and increase market share.  Participants will also look at ways of communicating brands using all elements of the marketing mix.
  
FACILITATOR – AJAY SIRSI Ph.D.
Dr. Ajay Sirsi is a senior marketing professor at Schulich. His research has won awards internationally. Ajay is the author of three books including: Marketing Led – Sales Driven: How Successful Businesses Use The Power Of Marketing Plans And Sales Execution To Win In The Marketplace and Marketing: A Roadmap To Success.
Ajay is the creator of the marketing and sales methodology called Marketing Led – Sales Driven (MLSD). This process is used by hundreds of organizations globally to develop strong marketing strategies followed by flawless implementation at the sales and customer levels. With his guidance, companies have been able to align their functions to focus on a common strategy and achieve their revenue and profit targets.

 


 

Module 3 - Wed, Nov 14, 2018
Leading with Emotional Intelligence

Develop your EQ skills to perform better in your management role. Understanding the emotional landscape we navigate on a daily basis is critical to success at your company. This course sharpens one’s ability to understand, utilize and maximize the application of EQ principles.

FACILITATOR - BRETT RICHARDS, Ph.D. 
Dr. Brett Richards is the founder and president of consulting firm Connective Intelligence Inc. A Master Trainer in Effective Intelligence®, an international business-based system designed to improve individual and team strategic thinking skills and system-wide collaboration, he brings more than 17 years of experience to the concepts of strategic thinking and organizational intelligence within a business context. He has also served as a Master Trainer and Coach with the EQ-i® (emotional quotient inventory) and is the developer of Emotional Power®, a practical business-based model used to apply the concepts of emotional intelligence in the workplace. Brett is a senior facilitator for the Schulich School of Business at York University and holds a doctorate in Human Organizational Systems. 

 


 

Module 4 - Thur. Nov 15, 2018
Managerial Finance
Participants will learn how to use key financial information to make key management and strategic making decisions. Topics covered include understanding key financial statements and what they tell us about business performance, problems and future health.

FACILITATOR - BEPPINO PASQUALI
Beppino Pasquali is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with 25 years of experience in accounting and taxation for small to medium sized companies. He advises clients in achieving growth and shareholder value. Beppino lectures in the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA, MBA and BBA programs in the field of financial and managerial accounting at the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, Canada. He also lectures in the Kellogg-Recanati EMBA program in Tel Aviv, Israel. He also lectures in the Schulich Executive Education Centre (SEEC) facilitating finance and accounting sessions for executives and managers.
