Topic: Newest trends in interviewing job applicants to ensure   a proper fit and better retention

Barry Howard’s passion is helping others succeed in their professional lives.  He takes great pride in guiding people to find their strengths and realize their potential.  His personal approach, compassion, humour and expertise instill confidence in his ability to help with all career-related matters.  He has over 25 years in corporate & executive search, domestic & international recruitment, organizational & leadership development, and training hiring managers, and over 12 years specializing in coaching and career consulting, teaching resume preparation, networking and job interview skills.

Barry has coupled his love of sports with his expertise in coaching.  By motivating young people to achieve their full potential, he’s brought his team to win 2 Provincial Championships.  He is co-founder of, The South Delta Basketball Association and has been recognized by the Delta Sports Hall of Fame in 2005 in the Leader/ Builder category and was presented with the Coach Who Makes a Difference Award by Basketball BC in addition to winning the inaugural “Youth Basketball Builder Award” in 2008.  He was also honoured as Delta’s Volunteer of the Year in the same year.

Since 2009 Barry has trained the MBA Students at UBC's Sauder School of Business on Interviewing and Negotiation Skills.
