Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) would like to provide you with more information on the planned stakeholder engagement process for the Regulatory Cooperation Council's initiative related to energy efficiency standards in order to update and publish the annual work plan by June 2016.

The Canadian and the U.S. Regulatory Cooperation Council Secretariats will be hosting a senior-level, binational stakeholder meeting on May 4-5 in Washington, D.C. The purpose of this event is to seek stakeholder views on (1) emerging trends that may impact Canada and the U.S. regulatory system, and (2) medium-term regulatory cooperation opportunities, to inform the next joint annual work plan. Director General/Deputy Assistant Secretary-level discussions with stakeholders on these issues will now take place face-to-face on May 4-5.

To prepare for the May 4-5 meeting, NRCan and the DOE would like to hear your preliminary views on these issues. As such, we invite you to a webinar on April 12th from 1300-1500 EST.
