World Plumbing Day

Working Plumbing is Essential to Our Health and Safety

Every person on the planet is affected by the availability of clean drinking water and basic sanitation. Unfortunately, in many developing countries, plumbing is either very limited or non-existent.

World Plumbing Day

Plumbing solutions could make all the difference in saving lives.

Support CIPH by recognizing World Plumbing Day, every year on March 11.

For more information, check out the World Plumbing Council Page.

According to the World Health Organization:

  • 829 000 people are estimated to die each year as a result of unsafe drinking-water
  • By 2025, half of the world’s population will be living in water-stressed areas
  • 785 million people lack even a basic drinking-water service, including 144 million people who are dependent on surface water

Happy World Plumbing Day! Inspectors that are involved within the compliance monitoring of plumbing systems have the best opportunity to ensure that there is a sustainable awareness regarding the ability to identify the environment around and inside the plumbing system that will assist in the sustainability of safe potable water systems. Having the local inspection authority directly engaged in understanding the critical nature of maintenance, testing and operation of new/existing systems gives us the ability to promote an enhanced confidence that plumbing systems are sustainable. Ensuring that the local authority having jurisdiction is engaged and participating of will continue to improve the sustainable potable water systems that are being supplied by some of the best quality drinking water in the world.
